DWLS is a Class B misdemeanor that
carries with it a punishment range of up to a
$500 fine, and up to 180 days in jail. If there
are prior DWLS convictions, then it becomes
a Class A misdemeanor, with a range of up
to a $4000 fine, and up to 1 year in jail.
